Richard Healey (Arizona) will visit Bonn on the 1st of June (9.30 Uhr (s.t.) to 18:00) in order to discuss his book „The Quantum Revolution in Philosophy“. Healey’s book, on the one hand, deals with interpeting quantum theory in light of the new developments in both quantum physics and philosophy of science, and on the other hand, serves to illuminate the consequences which have already resulted for epistemology and philosophy of science as a consequence of the insights of quantum theory, as well as those which are, according to Healey, yet to follow.
Healey will hold a discussion on the topics oft he book with Michel Bitbol (ENS Paris), Florian Fischer (Siegen/Bonn), Simon Friederich (Groningen), Peter Mättig (Bonn) and Stefan Schiller (Freiburg). The event is organised by the CST directors Prof. Markus Gabriel and Prof. Ulf-G. Meißner, as well as the CST science manager Jan Voosholz.
Workshop language is English. Workshop is open to everyone interested (from fields of philosophy, physics, chemistry, mathematics and informatics). Kindly write us (to voosholz@uni-bonn.de) for reservation.
